Pre-cast walling has become a necessity in the lives of South African home owners today. There is nothing more important than protecting one's family. Over the last 50 years, millions of South African home owners have installed pre-cast walls on the boundary lines
separating them from their neighbours and the criminals on the street. For a very long time, it was considered fashionable to have a low wall. With the recent development in crime levels in South Africa, home owners have had to increase the height of their pre-cast walls. Privacy has become a top priority in the lives of South Africans.
Market trends indicate that home owners are renovating rather than replacing expensive items or building new houses. The current recession and the unwillingness of banks to lend money has created a strong demand for DIY products by South African home owners.
Mend A Wall has taken the initiative to bring the X-Tend-A-Wall DIY extension method to the public through making the product available through selected distribution outlets. This turn-key package promises to be profitable to distributors, and cost effective and easy-to-use for home owners and contractors alike.
Option 1: Becoming an authorised distributor
Each distributor will be required to have 2 authorised staff members who will be given the authority to sign orders.
The authorised staff members will be required to sign each others form before it is faxed or emailed to Mend a Wall S.A. Head Office. The transaction is recorded by the distributor as per the usual method e.g. a point of sale system, and the original order form is filed for the distributor's reference.
The client must pay in full before any orders may be processed. Extension sleeves will be supplied to the distributor at a contractor's price. Mend A Wall S.A. Head Office will provide the distributor with a price list containing a list of the varying heights and the relevant contractor's prices. These are the prices that Mend A Wall S.A. Head Office will charge the distributor.
Mend A Wall S.A. Head Office will also provide the distributor with a recommended retail price-list.
The distributor will be required to transfer the full amount owed to Mend A wall S.A. Head Office. This amount can be calculated by multiplying the quantity of extensions ordered by the contractor's price on the price list provided. The order reference number must be used as the reference on our bank statement so as not to create confusion.
At every month-end a detailed statement containing details of all transactions between the distributor and
Mend A Wall S.A. Head Office will be mailed and emailed to the distributor.
The X-Tend-A-Wall extension sleeves will be manufactured as per the specifications
provide on the order form and delivered to the distributor's premises no later than 7 days after placing the order, assuming payment has been received and the conditions have been met.

Distributors will be provided with a turn-key operations package that includes:
- All marketing collateral
- A Banner advert that may be placed at strategic points on the shop floor.
- Pamphlets that may be placed at the enquiry desk or at paypoints.
- A sample of the product that may be displayed or kept for customer enquiries.
- A training session and instruction manual for employees that will be dealing with sales of the product and customer enquiries.
- Order forms and a detailed step by step instruction manual on how to place orders with Mend A Wall S.A. Head Office.
- A technical support number, should employees or customers require additional information
- DIY instruction pamphlets, for customers to use as a guide for installing the product.
